Meet Style 3: the D Cup shoulder princess button down blouse, pretty much the Holy Grail for busty women. The size, design and pattern are spot on. I’ll admit the sewing and seam pressing could be better. It’s a mock up proof of concept after all. I can’t wait to see what the results are from a professional cut and sew vendor.
Style 3 is actually Style 1, which was the first dress I made for a presentation at a Harvard business class with one of my fit models. That dress was zippered but the bodice is nearly identical in design. I had abandoned Style 3 a couple of years ago because I just couldn’t make it work consistently with that curve. I figured since I had so much invested in the princess button down blouse I owed it to myself and STACKED to revisit it. I feel like I have done the near impossible.
Now I’m moving on to Style 4, which will have French darts front and back. I haven’t decided yet what the closure or even fabric will be. My instinct tells me it will be a knit but I will try a woven with front buttons first.
